IT may have been some time coming, but Erik Hassle's intriguing debut has finally arrived at a moment when the kind of retro-electro pop in which he excels has hit the mainstream, with the likes of Lady Gaga and La Roux both shifting major units in 2009.
Hassle is one of the great white hopes for the online tastemakers this year, and with an album as well rounded and immediate as this one, it isn't difficult to see why.
