FOLK hero of the North-East Tom McConville recently won the coveted title Musician of the Year 2009 at the BBC Folk Awards.
Following popular performances at The Georgian Theatre Royal, Richmond, in 2006 and 2007, McConville returns on Friday, July 3, at 7.30pm for an evening of fiddle music complemented by guitarist David Newey.
Born on Tyneside, Tom has never forgotten his roots and is as happy in the intimate atmosphere of a folk club as he is at the largest festivals.
