"My Dad was a rodeo cowboy. He missed the rodeo in Phoenix, the year I was born, and, because of that, he and mom decided to call me Zona, which is short for Arizona."

Those are the words of Zona Jones, who is one of the latest artists to make country fans around the world sit up and listen to his music.

Influenced by his grandmother’s love of music, he formed a band which played the Texas Club and dance hall circuit and recorded his first album, Harleys and Horses.

It gave him national exposure and one of the tracks, Two Hearts, was his first hit in the Texas Music Chart. That song, along with 13 others, can now be heard in Britain on his new album.

In total it is a balanced mix of great songs, full of light and shade, beautifully produced with great musicianship as Jones weaves his way magically through the vocals. I’m sure this artist has definite staying power.
