KIDS In Glass Houses are a five-piece indie rock band who hail from the valleys surrounding Cardiff.

Their sound is a mixture of rock and roll with some added 1980s twists.

The opener, Good Boys Gone Bad, starts the proceedings off pleasantly enough and is followed by a good handful of new songs from their new album, Smart Casual, which is released this week.

You would have thought the audience would have less reaction to the new songs, but the enthusiasm was sky high.

Lead vocalist Aled Phillips invited the Middlesbrough crowd to dance to their pleasantly created pop power and the audience's interaction was obviously welcome.

The addictive, infectious Me, Me, Me was the highlight of the night, with the catchy lyrics and poppy chorus being sung back to Phillips so loudly that you could hardly hear the band play.

During the performance there are some reminders of bands such as Fall Out Boy and Funeral For a Friend. You get the feeling that if Kids In Glass Houses fall in the right direction they could possibly end up just as popular as them.
