Upbeat and melodic, this record from the Californian indie boys is nice enough.
Very much of the laid-back surfer rock-type genre, it has some lovely harmonies and is basically a well-rounded song.
Although there's nothing particularly bad about it, there's also nothing that makes it stand out in a market which is over-saturated with indie guitar bands and it lacks edge.
It's worth a listen if you like this sort of music.
* Released April 7.
