For those who aren't fans of reality television, Lee Mead was the winner of the BBC's Any Dream Will Do series and went on to play the lead role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
It gets off to a bad start when Lee butchers the Rolling Stone's classic Paint It Black, turning it into a bland, manufactured pop tune. It carries on in much the same vein. While you can't fault that Lee has a nice voice there does not seem to be a great deal of originality in the album. The Best is Yet to Come, written by Gary Barlow, sounds like a poor Take That song, complete with cliched boyband lyrics and an even duller tune. However, I'm sure that young girls and middle-aged women alike will love this release.
