DUTCH film-maker Theo van Gogh was murdered three years ago and his producers are honouring him by remaking three of his original films in English with Hollywood stars.

Interview is the first, featuring Sienna Miller as a famous US soap star, Katya being interviewed by print journalist Pierre Peders (Buscemi, who also directs).

He's a war correspondent unhappy at being sent to interview a TV star, better known for being a celebrity than an actress. This is a role not entirely unknown to Miller, more likely to be in the gossip columns than the awards nominations list.

The two meet and instantly get off on the wrong foot. They move from restaurant to her apartment where they engage in a game of verbal ping-pong to see who can be the rudest and most uncooperative. Along the way, their weaknesses are exposed and exploited by the other. Buscemi doesn't attempt to open out the story, content to let the dialogue work its magic. Miller is a revelation as Katya, although the temptation is to say that she's only playing herself. Buscemi too brings out the contradictions and insecurities in a reporter struggling for survival.

Stars: Sienna Miller, Steve Buscemi
