JAZZACTION and the Tees Music Alliance will launch Stockton's Jazz Club at the Georgian Theatre, Green Dragon Yard (just off the High Street), from Sunday.
Those who know the venue already appreciate the intimate and friendly atmosphere which it generates. The club, called Milestones - Jazz, will feature the region's finest jazz musicians. Hosted by house band, the Noel Dennis Lewis Watson Quintet, each month will bring an eclectic range of nationally and internationally renowned musicians. Held on the first Sunday of each month (excluding January) the opening gig features Dave O'Higgins, worldrenowned saxophonist. Other confirmed artists include guitarist Jim Mullen, vocalist Zoe Gilby and experimentalist guitarist Chris Sharkey.
