HUSBAND and wife Wisconsin duo Aaron Doyes and Indra Dunis have opted for a far more low-key approach on this follow-up to 2012’s Lucifer.

The electro-pop vibe is still very much to the fore, but Cosmic Logic is far more downbeat. There are, however, still some noticeable highlights.

Opener Infinite Trips is the best of the bunch, mainly because, to a large extent, it harks back to the upbeat tunes on their previous release.

Hypnotic Hustle does what its title says on the tin, the sort of comedown track you would hear in a club at three in the morning, while Everyone and Us and closing track Tell Me Your Song are other standouts.

Nevertheless, pleasant as it is, this album doesn’t hit the heights that seemed within their grasp after Lucifer, and that’s a shame.
