JAMES CORDEN and Mathew Baynton are writing and starring in The Wrong Mans, a new series for BBC2.
They play hapless duo Phil Bourne and Sam Pinkett, whose menial existence is turned upside-down by a chance phone call and a case of mistaken identity.
Their lives soon become embroiled in a world of unexpected international conspiracy and intrigue.
The cast also includes Silent Witness star Emilia Fox, Nick Moran, Rebecca Front, Stephen Campbell Moore, and Dawn French. The series is filming for screening on BBC2 later this year.
MUSICIAN Billy Bragg is among those receiving lifetime achievement awards in this year’s BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, the annual awards that celebrate and reward the best in folk music from the previous 12 months.
He will be given the Roots Award, presented in recognition of an outstanding contribution to folk music from a grass roots level upwards.
Shetland fiddler Aly Bain and English folk/rock singersongwriter and guitarist Roy Harper will be given lifetime achievement awards, and the author of one of Scotland’s most-loved songs, Caledonia, Dougie MacLean, will receive the lifetime achievement award for contribution to songwriting.
