VICO Properties Plc has appointed King Sturge as joint agent to work alongside BNP Paribas Real Estate in the marketing of its flagship Sunderland City Centre office development.

City Green, located next to the Park Lane transport interchange, will offer up to 41,000 sq ft of Grade A office accommodation and a new bar/restaurant.

City Green forms part of a larger mixed use development which includes new residential apartments.

Graham Wilson, development director of Vico Properties, said: “City Green will provide an exciting mix of contemporary housing and first-class office space offering modern facilities and flexibility to potential occupiers.

We are now eager to press ahead with the commercial element.”

The office scheme incorporates air conditioning, raised access floors and on-site parking. Set over five storeys, the development can be occupied as a whole or on a floorby- floor basis.

Simon Taylor, associate of King Sturge, said: “City Green offers a fantastic and unique opportunity to occupy Grade A offices in the heart of Sunderland.

“The proposed scheme would provide the only offices of this quality in the city centre and, given the close proximity to the transport interchange, we expect a good level of interest.”

Paul Nicholson, of BNP Paribas, said: “City Green is a highly flexible office scheme which has attained planning permission and can be delivered in a relatively swift timescale. Vico’s intention is now to identify an occupier or occupiers who appreciate the quality of the scheme for its location and specification.”
