PROPERTY service provider CB Richard Ellis has appointed a new director to establish the company's regeneration team in the region.

North-East born David Codling now holds the title of CBRE's regeneration director and will use his expertise to manage projects which will regenerate and redevelop areas suffering from market failure for the benefit businesses and communities throughout the North-East and Yorkshire.

David was previously senior development executive with redevelopment specialists Priority Sites Limited (PSL) ,where he delivered speculative industrial and office schemes throughout England.

More recently, he specialised in mixed use regeneration projects, which included a 24-acre residential/ industrial project in the west of Newcastle in partnership with the City Council.

Prior to his role at PSL David was with Yorkshire Forward and English Partnerships working on a variety of regeneration projects throughout Yorkshire an d the Humber, including Little Germany in Bradford and Glasshougton in Castleford.

CBRE has particular expertise in formulating regeneration strategies on a variety of clients, ranging from public sector bodies and private clients to land owners, investors and developers.
