A REGENERATION company has expanded from County Durham to open a London office in response to increasing interest from investment funds.

Carlton & Co, who are based in Aycliffe Business Park, County Durham, aim to attract institutional investment in housing and regeneration projects by working directly with fund managers, housing associations and local authorities.

The company are hoping their new office in Berkeley Square, London, will help them meet increasing demands from some of the UK's major pension funds, who have recently stepped up investment in the residential sector.

Craig Peterson, director, said; "We are working with a number of London-based institutional investors including large pension funds, specialist real estate funds and their advisors, who are keen to increase or enter the residential sector".

Norman Peterson, co-director said "We have £50m to invest in the northern region and affordable housing is one of the key markets.

"County Durham will always remain our main base but, the opening of our London office, operating alongside the Aycliffe office, will ensure that we are well placed to support a range of partners in this dynamic marketplace and we will be on hand to accelerate the large scale institutional investment into the UK housing sector."
