North-East pop star Cheryl Cole has admitted that tea made by a firm based just yards from where she grew up was one of the things she missed most when thousands of miles from home.
Ms Cole told the May 2011 issue of Glamour magazine that she asked her family to bring Ringtons tea when they visited her in Los Angeles.
"Ringtons tea from Newcastle is the best," she said.
The family run company is based in Heaton, Newcastle, less than a mile from the house where Ms Cole lived before finding fame.
