A FORMER Cambridge University lecturer has joined the Tees Valley’s largest law firm.

Marta Studholme, 36, has joined TBI’s commercial disputes department.

After carrying out her initial law training at the universities of Teesside and Durham, Mrs Studholme returned to her native Poland where she worked as a lecturer for the University of Cambridge, based in Warsaw.

Mrs Studholme, whose husband is from the North-East, then returned to this country to complete her training at the College of Law, in York.

Her dispute resolution work has encompassed contracts, intellectual property, tort and employment, and she has previously represented a number of clients from the growing Polish community on Teesside.

Alison Tate, partner with TBI Solicitors, said: “Marta is a proactive lawyer, experienced not only in delivering for her clients but also in organising seminars and conferences and speaking on a range of lawrelated subjects. Her experience, together with her fluency in Polish, makes her a valuable addition to our team.”

Mrs Studholme said: “This is a great opportunity to join one of the busiest, growing and proactive business law offices in the Tees Valley. I am looking forward to working with TBI’s experienced team and building my own client base.”

She lives in Yarm with her husband, Kevin, and two young children. She enjoys running and is training for a marathon. She is also a keen golfer, and a qualified scuba diver.

TBI Solicitors is the Tees Valley’s largest legal firm, with offices in Wynyard Park, Hartlepool, Stockton and Barnard Castle.
