A RECYCLING specialist in the North-East has struck a deal for an undisclosed sum with one of the largest chemical complexes in Europe to help deal with its waste.
Gateshead-based Weeco has joined forces with the Wilton Centre, in Teesside, to dispose of its waste electrical and electronic equipment - known as WEEE.
The partnership will ensure that the centre's many blue chip clients have the opportunity to comply with new European environmental legislation when it comes to the disposal of its electrical waste, such as computers.
Managing director Beverley Eckerman said: "We are thrilled to have the Wilton Centre as a new client.
"The region's top companies should be proud because they are setting a fine example to the rest of the country."
