A LUXURY North Yorkshire hotel has created rooms themed in honour of two of the world’s most famous hotels as part of a £250,000 investment.

Crab Manor, at Asenby, near Thirsk, has created the rooms in tribute to the six-star Burj Al Arab, in Dubai, said to be one of the world’s most luxurious hotels, and London’s famous Ritz Hotel.

The move is part of a major refurbishment at Crab Manor, a boutique hotel which offers 14 rooms, each inspired by some of the world’s greatest destination venues.

Four of the rooms in the grade II-Listed Georgian manor house have been refurbished, with a further five to receive similar upgrades in a second phase, scheduled to be completed by late spring.

The manor’s lounge area, hallway, main staircase and landing area have already been refurbished and the dining area in its neighbouring restaurant, the Crab and Lobster, has also been upgraded.

Jason Greenwood, managing director of Vimac Leisure, which owns Crab Manor and the Crab and Lobster, said: “The Burj Al Arab has become world-renowned for its striking interior and exterior design, so it was an obvious choice for us to bring to Crab Manor, and the London Ritz still has few peers in terms of style and class.

“The feedback from the first guests in the refurbished rooms has been very positive.

We’re looking forward to completing the project soon, so we can offer an even greater level of luxury to our guests.”
