MINCOFFS has appointed a new trainee solicitor.
Hayley Anderson, 25, graduated from Leeds University in 2006, completed the Legal Practice Course in 2007 and worked as a paralegal in insolvency litigation at a firm in Leeds. She joined Mincoffs in 2008 as a litigation paralegal.
She has now begun an 18- month training contract with the Newcastle firm, aiming to aulify as a solicitor in a year.
After spending three months with the residential conveyancing department, where she had the responsibility of running her own files, Ms Anderson has gained knowledge and experience of house sales and purchases, remortgages and dealing with registered and unregistered titles and trusts.
She is now working in the commercial property department.
She said: “Mincoffs was my first choice to complete my training due to its reputation for having such a personal involvement with clients that many of the bigger firms don’t seem to have.
“I am already looking forward to qualifying and building my career here.”
