A SECOND new airline service from the North-East to Norway will be introduced this month.
UK regional airline Eastern Airways is introducing a Sunday service to Stavanger from Newcastle, from Sunday, October 11.
The service will leave Newcastle at 4pm, arriving at 6.50pm local time.
Flights leave Stavanger at 7.30pm, arriving in Newcastle, via Aberdeen, at 9.15pm.
The airline has an existing daily weekday service between Newcastle and Stavanger.
On Monday, it will start a daily weekday service between Newcastle and Bergen.
Chief operating officer Chris Holliday said: “Combined with the introduction of our Newcastle service to Bergen, the extra flights to Stavanger clearly demonstrate our commitment to developing routes between Newcastle and Norway.
“The new Sunday Stavanger service provides greater flexibility for business travellers as they can reach the city in time for an early Monday morning start.”
