A CONSTRUCTION firm has won a contract to build a production and clean room at a technology park.

North-East firm Surgo Construction has been appointed to the project at NETPark, near Sedgefield, County Durham.

The company, appointed by Durham County Council on a design and build basis, will construct a 1,750sq metre production and clean room. It is one of two projects the company is carrying out with a combined value of £4.1m.

On the second scheme Surgo, working for a major private client, will enlarge an existing building in Peterlee.

Director Jeff Alexander said: “As usual, our teams will face different challenges with each contract. However, I am confident in their ability.”
