SAUSAGE-MAKER Debbie and Andrew’s has won a deal to supply three varieties of its sausages to a convenience store chain.
The company, which started in the kitchen at Debbie and Andrew Keeble’s farm near Northallerton, North Yorkshire, and is now a £10m business, has won a contract to stock up to 193 Budgens stores nationwide.
The move is seen as a key step in plans to double turnover to £20m within the next three years.
Debbie and Andrew’s is now the UK’s third biggest sausage brand, behind Wall’s and Richmond.
Mr Keeble said: “We really understand the importance of convenience and what it means for retailers and consumers.
In fact, one area we are already looking into is developing a smaller pack for the convenience sector.”
