A NORTH-EAST college has officially opened its new £6.5m sixth form centre.
The ceremony for St Peter’s Sixth Form College marks an important milestone in City of Sunderland College’s building estate programme, as it continues to invest heavily in its infrastructure and learning facilities.
More than 500 students moved in to the building in September, which is next to the University of Sunderland’s Sir Tom Cowie Campus at St Peter’s.
The building was unveiled by University of Sunderland Chancellor and former Olympic athlete, Steve Cram, alongside City of Sunderland College principal Angela O’Donoghue.
