UK luxury fragrance retailer Molton Brown will open a new store in Newcastle's Eldon Square shopping centre.

The 1,084 sq ft store features the brand’s iconic bath and body products plus elegant fragrances and decadent gift sets for every occasion.

The British brand is relocating from the city's Blackett Street to the mall's Douglas Way - next door to Swarovksi and Lakeland.

Molton Brown will open its new concept store inside Eldon Square on Friday, May 7, the first letting for specialist investment managers APAM since its appointment in October 2020.

Bernice Nesham, senior asset manager at APAM, said: “We’re really excited to announce a brand-new retailer is joining Eldon Square, hot on the heels of retail non-essential shops recently reopening.

"Molton Brown is an iconic British brand which complements our current retail offering perfectly.”

Steve Clark, retail sales director at Molton Brown, said “We at Molton Brown have been passionately investing in our stores over the last few years, ensuring that they evolve to stay relevant.

"That’s why we’re always reviewing our locations to make sure they’re easily accessible and moving to new homes that suit our customers best.”

Safety measures remain in place in Eldon Square to ensure the safety of visitors and staff.

Following guidance from Public Health England and the Government, managers of Eldon Square said the following rules still apply:

• A face mask or covering must be worn at all times unless exempt

  • A face covering is something which safely covers the nose, mouth and securely fits round the side of the face
  • Anyone not wearing one, could be refused entry to the centre or asked to leave. There are some exceptions, these being children under 11, people with disabilities or those with breathing difficulties
  • Members of the team will be on hand to support our visitors throughout their visit

• Social distancing is essential, and all visitors must follow marked routes.

• Hand sanitisation stands are available at key points throughout the centre for everyone to use. Please make use of these when entering the centre and regularly throughout your visit. Toilet facilities are also available for access to soap and hot water.

• Visitor numbers will be continually monitored to ensure social distancing can be maintained inside the centre and within stores, therefore shoppers may be asked to queue at peak times.

• Visitors are advised to check the Eldon Square website for details of quieter times to visit and minimise queuing times.

• Please use a contactless payment method if possible.

Visitors are encouraged to check store opening times directly with each brand online as opening hours may vary.
