A RICHMOND businessman has launched a new offering from his brewing company to help those in isolation still enjoy a beer, whilst also trying to diversify during these challenging times.
The announcement on Friday by Prime Minister Boris Johnson, that all pubs and restaurants must close has had a massive impact on Chris Soley’s companies, Camerons Brewery and Tooth and Claw Brewing, like so many other businesses and individuals across the country.
This week, Mr Soley and his colleagues will be offering a delivery service of their cans and bottled beers in the Richmond area, as well as on Teesside and in Leeds.
Mr Soley, director and general manager of Camerons Brewery, said: “In order to bring a little bit of cheer and to help us with some much-needed sales, we are now taking orders for delivery next week.
“It’s been a difficult time for so many businesses and we are all having to get creative to stay up and running.
“We’ll be able to take card payments over the phone so no cash needs to exchange hands and we will leave deliveries on the doorstep to observe social distancing guidelines.”
Beers are also available for delivery on Teesside, including in Middlesbrough and in Stockton, and in Hartlepool, and there is an online store for people outside these areas.
