A FORMER warehouse worker with a lifetime interest in photography has put himself in the frame by fulfilling a long-held ambition to run his own business.

Rather than retiring, Iain Reynolds has taken the leap of turning his expertise in photographic technique, digital equipment and software, built up over many years, into becoming a franchisee of a national company with the help of specialist franchising legal advice from BHP Law.

His business now provides instruction and courses in digital photography both in the classroom, and on location at venues throughout the North East of England.

Dermot Winters, partner and head of the corporate and commercial team at BHP Law, said: “With a background of many years in warehousing and distribution, retirement beckoned for Iain. However, this exciting opportunity arose for him to take on a highly regarded national franchise.

“Iain is a tremendously talented photographer and vastly experienced teacher and lecturer. I have no doubt he will be very successful with this excellent franchise and I wish him all the best for the future.”

Iain said: “The BHP corporate team at Faverdale were superb. The franchise agreement and ancillary documentation which I had received looked terribly daunting. Dermot went through every clause with me in meticulous detail and was able to explain it without the legal jargon.

“I felt reassured and at ease.”
