ONE company's initiative to ensure employees are supported in their psychical, mental and social wellbeing has seen a safe space created within the office.
The Wellness Works scheme includes a fitness suite and a wellbeing room for colleagues at HC-One, in Darlington, who are encouraged to be aware of self-care and accessing support whenever they need it.
The initiative aims to ensure employees are able to support customers and themselves to the best of their ability.
Samantha Yates, HC-One resourcing project manager, said: "As part of our Wellness Works initiative we have invested in a fitness suite and a wellbeing room, a safe space for colleagues to be.
"We have partnered with local businesses who are running on site sessions dedicated to healthy eating, diet myths, movement, exercise and massage.
"Karen Johnson, our head of clinical quality is hosting Health MOTs offering support and advice.
"We are extremely keen to support not just the physical, but the mental wellbeing of our colleagues and are very proud to have newly qualified mental health first aiders working within our colleague group."
