A SPECIALIST training company has added a new IT course to its programme.
Taitec Training, which has sites in Newcastle and Harrogate, North Yorkshire, has launched the CompTIA A+ certification, which is acclaimed by major companies such as Xerox, Dell and Sharp Electronics.
Graeme Trotter, manager of the Taitec centre, expects the qualification to attract huge interest, particularly from people in the 20 to 40-year-old age group who are looking for a career change.
Previously, the A+ exams were based simply on technologies of hardware and operating systems. Now, security, safety, issues of environment, communication and professionalism are covered.
