A REGENERATION scheme has been boosted with the first arrival on the site.
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) is to relocate its offices to a site on the Middlehaven development in Middlesbrough.
The new CPS building covers more than 16,000sq ft at Hudson Quay and was created by York-based The Helmsley Group and development team Terrace Hill.
It will house 115 CPS staff relocating from the current Middlesbrough office next month.
Ian McAndrew, associate director of The Helmsley Group, said: "The arrival of such a high-profile and established organisation is a massive vote of confidence in this ground-breaking development.
"Hudson Quay is a fantastic start for the 200-acre Middlehaven regeneration scheme.
"It will transform the area in Middlesbrough into an enjoyable place to be and provide occupants and local people with a location to be proud of."
The Tees Valley Regeneration team is leading the £500m Middlehaven scheme, designed to kick start economic growth.
