A UNIFORM maker has supplied clothing for a well-known TV show.
Workwear Express, in Durham City, says it made commemorative aprons for Still Open All Hours.
The BBC sit-com follows shopkeeper Granville, played by Sir David Jason, as he runs the business he inherited from his uncle Arkwright, played by the late Ronnie Barker.
Bosses say the 100 aprons all featured the Arkwright logo, the name of the show, and filming locations across the chest, and were worn by its cast, including Sir David.
Andrew Ward, Workwear’s managing director and founder, said: “We were thrilled to have been given the opportunity to provide customised aprons.
“We won the work on the back of our growing reputation for delivering quality garments on time and on budget.”
Mr Ward launched Workwear in 1990 and it now employs 100 workers staff, with North-East baker Greggs among its clients.
