Harbrook has formed a global partnership with the international market leader in internet networking.

Harbrook, based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, has struck a deal with Cisco Systems, whose software is integral to more than 90 per cent of networks across the world, to help design and implement of products in its Advanced Services division.

Harbrook, which employs 28 people and has an annual turnover of £2.1m, will now be working with some of Cisco's biggest clients in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The company is planning to take on staff on the back of the contract, although it said it was too early to give numbers.

Andy Brooks, director of Harbrook, said: "To be a major partner with Cisco Advanced Services puts us firmly at the forefront of our market across a large part of the world and is a testament to the faith Cisco has in the quality of our work."

Tony Brucha, senior manager in Cisco's Advanced Services, said: "By naming Harbrook as an Advanced Services partner, we aim to build upon this relationship."
