A TEESSIDE games company has announced it will produce its own video games.
Double Eleven, based in Middlesbrough, will market and distribute its own and independently made games to national and international markets.
The company, which employs more than 40 people in offices in Middlesbrough and Leeds, will use Sony's PlayStation Network (PSN) as its main digital distribution platform.
Mark South, chief operating officer of Double Eleven, said: “This is a natural progression for us, we have been operating for three years and have been working towards this for a while.”
The company started life just over two years ago in the attic of now chief executive Lee Hutchinson.
It picked up two industry awards at the Tiga annual awards last year for its development of LittleBigPlanet for the Playstation Vita.
