BLACKBURN Phillip Phillip Blackburn aged 67 of Barnard Castle died at home with the upmost dignity and strength, with his devoted wife Lynne and three daughters by his side. Phillip was a kind, caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend and colleague and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Service will be held at Wear Valley Crematorium on Wednesday August 11, at 11:30am, followed by the celebration of his life at Barnard Castle Cricket Club, all are welcome. Any donations will be welcomed and will be made out to Cancer Research UK (Teesdale). For anyone unable to attend, the cortwill leave from the family residence in Stainton Grove, at 10.30am and proceed, to Barnard Castle, travelling through Galgate, turning at the Market Cross at 10.45am, returning up through the town and pausing at the War Memorial at 10.50am, before heading to Wear Valley.
