ELTRINGHAM Newton Aycliffe It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Donald Eltringham (Don) aged 93 years, on October 2, 2020, in the care of Defoe Court Nursing Home. Beloved husband of Greta for 39 years, loving father of Stephen, Barbara and Jill and stepfather to Alison, Lesley and Beverley. Loving grandad to Nicholas, Sally-Ann, Helen, Katherine, Vicente, Iain, John, Robyn, Jenny and Daisy and great-grandfather to Isobel, Mason, Alexander, Aaron, Finley and Alyssa. Father in law to Sharon, Geoff and Nic. A private funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 14 at 1.30pm in St. Clare's Church. Don requested no flowers but any donations in lieu may be made to St. Clare's Church where he had been a member of the congregation since moving to Newton Aycliffe to join the Aycliffe Development Corporation in 1964.
