SMITH Margaret Anne Curry Aged 87 years, born in Burdon Village, passed away peacefully on May 15, at Wansbeck Hospital. Mother to Yvonne, Billy, Mal, Wendy, Maureen, George and Adrian, stepmother to Tracy, Robert and Stephanie, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great-aunt and friend to many. Funeral service is at St Clare's Church, Newton Aycliffe, on May 29, at 11:45am, followed by family only at Wear Valley Crematorium. After the cremation there will be a celebration of Margaret's life at the Phoenix Club, Macmillan Road, Newton Aycliffe, all are welcome. Family flowers only, donations are welcome to The Durham County Carers Support, to which Margaret volunteered her time for many years and up until very recently.
