THE TEMPERATURES certainly dropped off towards the end of the week at Witton Castle Lakes making it feel like Winter isn’t too far off. In the last full month of the 2016 season we welcomed 18 dedicated anglers who fished the lakes and enjoyed more success than of late.
The best of the weeks anglers was T.Ross who managed a bag of 6 fish, followed by A.Clark who caught 4 fish while A.Moore and P.Harrison both had 2 fish each.
The best fish of the week was a more than impressive 7.5lb rainbow caught by T.Ross.
Following on from last week the same flies returned the most success, them being Buzzers, CDC’s and Cats Whiskers.
The weather for the week ahead will remain cool but thankfully dry with some sunshine and decent cloud cover.
