THE WARM and humid condition have continued again at Witton Castle Lakes making the going hard for visiting anglers. The patience of the most dedicated has certainly been tested of late with the sheets showing a rod average of just over one.
No double figure bags this week with the best of the rods being P.Irons with a bag of 4 fish, followed by M.Mearon with 3 fish. I.Joplin, S.Thow, M.Mearon and B.Kirby all rounded off the sheets with 2 fish each.
The best fish of the week was a fine 4lb rainbow caught by I.Joplin.
The usual suspects have been doing the majority of the catching with Hares Ears, Blobs and CDC’s being the most successful and Hedgehog also made an appearance this week.
The warm and humid conditions are forecast for at least the next week which will continue to test the patience of those most dedicated of anglers.
