Durham & District League

 

                Houghton Dairy Lane retained the League Championship trophy after beat their hosts at Pelton Fell for the loss of only one point. The champions won by 71 shots to 56 with the rink scores (PF names first) S. Bennett 13 AJ Dunn 16; D. Brown 18 K. Makepeace 18; J. Hutchinson 13 K. Briscoe 17; R. Edghill 12 S. Johnston 20.

                Sherburn Village took the runners-up awards, whilst Bowburn and Hundens were relegated.

                Mainsforth were crowned Second Division champions following their maximum win over the visiting King George, but owe a great deal to the Witton Gilbert team, who produced their best performance of the season in beating the visiting favourites from Spennymoor by 78 shots to 71. Darlington Ladies League

 

                Hundens landed the League Championship in style when they made their fourth consecutive maximum victory by taking all four points from the visiting Bedale. The reigning champions, Woodland also recorded a maximum win but are nine and a half points adrift with only eight available from their last two matches.

Durham Midweek League

 

                The entire programme was cancelled this week because of heavy rain with each team, except Sherburn Village, who had a bye, collecting five points

Darlington & District Vets

 

                League leaders, Hundens A’s match at Middleton St. George A was rained off but their lead was not affected as second placed, South Park A failed to take a point at Richmond A, who edged out of a relegation spot. Bedale also moved away from the drop zone with their victory at Railway Athletic leaving the home side in trouble.
