SECOND DIVISION Howden Australian beat Darlington Burns 3-2 to set up an Albert Vickers Cup final against Witton Park.

After a goal less first half Adrian Weston gave Burns the lead but sub Adam Blair and Michael Winter turned the game in favour of Howden. Weston levelled for the visitors but Winter's second of the game earned the Australian an excellent win.

Witton Park extended their league unbeaten run to eight games in beating DSRM 6-0 away. Dean Thexton notched a hat trick with the rest from Sam Joyce, Stephen Bland and an own goal from Billy Johns. Victory takes Witton Park top on goal difference.

Bowes beat Willington WMC 3-0 in a game that had end of the season written all over it. Gabriel Radu gave Bowes an early lead and Tommy Hutchinson opened up a two goal half time cushion. Hutchinson's second on 65 minutes wrapped up the win.

Second division leaders West Auckland WMC returned to winning form with a 2-0 victory at Staindrop Castle Rangers. Josh Ridley and Martin Hutchinson were the marksmen. Jake Sowersby and captain Tom Wood were both in fine form in the Staindrop defence.

A shock looked likely at Bishop Hogans when opponents Crook Wanderers led 2-1 through a Steven Fairgrieve brace with five minutes remaining. But Hogans bounced back to gain a 3-2 victory with through Ben Hopkinson (2) and Micky Turner.

Aycliffe Turbinia lost 2-1 at home to Crook Albion. Aydan Bowers back from suspension scored both for the Albion with the match winner coming late on after Turbinia's Daniel Kenyon had cancelled out his opener.

Evenwood Town are up to fourth following a 1-0 victory over Alston Moor. It's fifteen games unbeaten for Evenwood whose last league defeat came on 16 August.

Wolsingham beat Darlington Hole in the Wall 3-2 thanks to Matthew Armstrong, Scott Hutchinson and an own goal. The victors led 3-0 but the Hole pulled two back late on through Will Bolland and Grant Rankine.

Wearhead United and Stanhope SSC shared four goals in a the dales derby. Wearhead twice led through Paul O'Hehir but goals from Jack Barker on 44 and 89 minutes earned Stanhope a share of the spoils.
