                The semi finals and finals of the Singles Championships in all three disciplines were held at Tow Law New Market.

                Darts semi finals: Arthur Goldsborough (Willington Queens) 3 Ernie Byrne (Crook Crown) 1; Craig Hudspeth (Willington Queens) 0 v 3 Darren Melderis (Crown) 3.

                Final: Arthur Goldsborough 2 Darren Melderis 4.

                Dominoes semi finals: Alfie Stoney (Willington Queen’s) 3 Doug McCarthy (Crown) 5; Malcolm Bannister (Crown) 5 Amanda Farlow (Cottles) 1.

                Final: Doug McCarthy 5 Malcolm Bannister 4.

                Pool semi finals: John Howe (Crown) 2 Roy Richardson (White Swan) 3; Malcolm Umpleby (New Market) 3 Les Scott (White Swan) 0.

                Final: Roy Richardson 3 Malcolm Umpleby 4.

 

Wear Valley Games League

 

                In the Team Knock Out, the Bay Horse only dropped one point at Coundon Durham Ox, who had Neil Tallentire’s dominoes win as their only score. The visitors had darts points from Robert Howe, Danny Bell and Richard Saville; dominoes points from Barry McPherson and TH Jayne and pool points from Les Sanders, Dave Parvin and Barry McPherson.

                The Black Horse won by six points at Bar None. The visitors won darts points through Lee Pickin, Bobby Hall, Tom Hudson and David Dodds, who hit a 180; Dominoes points from Les Whitfield, Chris Pickin and Alan Richardson, whilst Tom Hudson and Brad Chapman added pool points. Michael McManus won a dominos point with Dave Crowther and Gordon Wilson adding pool points for the hosts.

                The Top Hat won at Lacey’s Bar by winning each game by the odd point. At darts the home team had wins from Paul Stapleton and Dave Calcutt; at dominoes Robert Rowell and John Elliott on with Alan Robinson and Colin Gash adding pool points. The visitors had darts wins from Michael Murdoch, Michael Bylett and John Teal; dominoes points from Alan Longthorne, Chris Bowran and Gordon Berriman and pool points from Alan Morley, Michael Murdoch and Chris Bowron.

                Results: Bar None 3 Black Horse 9; Durham Ox 1 Bay Horse 8; Lacey’s Bar 6 Top Hat 9.

 

C.I.U. Games League

 

                Team Knock Out – First Round results: Darlington beat Byers Green; Chilton lost to Tindale Crescent; Crowtrees lost to Crook Belle Vue; Ferryhill had a bye.

                Semi finals to be played on 21 April: Tindale Crescent v Crook Belle Vue and Darlington v Ferryhill.
