LEAGUE NEWCOMERS Bishop Lacey’s booked their place in the third division cup final with a 6-1 victory at Bishop Station. Ben Hopkinson notched a hat trick with James Sleep, James Whittaker and Dale Sowerby completing Lacey’s tally. Lee Banks pulled one back for Station. Lacey’s will face Cockton Hill WMC or DSRM in the final.               

Ben Collinson, Stephen Brunskill and a brace from Darren Simpson saw Witton Park Rose and Crown beat Tudhoe United 4-0 to reach the semi finals of the Tom Waggott cup where they will entertain West Auckland The Club.

Shildon FC Supporters beat Newton Aycliffe Sports Club 3-2 in the Invitation cup with goals courtesy of Kyle Allen (2) and Sean Carr. Connor Hughes and Darren Bosomworth scored for the Supporters.                         

Coundon Miners Arms remain on course to clinch the first division runners up spot following a 1-0 win at Butterknowle in their penultimate game.  Kevin Hallimond secured the points for Miners who were denied further goals by in form Butterknowle keeper Jack Rutherford. Victory over Shildon FC Supporters in their final game will guarantee Miners second spot.

West Auckland The Club returned to winning form in beating Bishop Bay Horse 3-0. Sean Johnson, Andrew Campion and Jamie Whitworth scored while Peter Whittaker of West and Andrew Foster of Bay Horse were the pick.

Middlestone Moor Masons Arms beat Kirk Merrington Half Moon 6-3 and require one point to guarantee the second division title. Marc Costello (2), Steven Fothergill, Steven Richardson, Tom Fothergill and Ryan Kelly were Mason’s marksmen with Stephen Britton, Daryl Howard and Iain Fowler replying for Half Moon.

Bottom side Spennymoor Voltigeur wound up their campaign with a 2-1 win at Coundon Three Tuns. Jonathan Kidman and Callum Savage sparked three points for the Volt with Colin Laybourn on target for Coundon.

Andrew Boyes bagged a hat trick for Toft Hill Three Tuns in a 7-2 victory over Barnard Castle. Other Tuns goal came from Simon Rathbone (2), Allan Jones and Adam Sullivan with Rob Dominick and Mike Dixon replying for Barney.

The promotion hopes of Spennymoor Salvin Arms suffered a setback with a 3-2 defeat at home to Shildon Elm Road WMC. Matthew Wilson, Carl Dawson and Jamie Rose netted for the victors with Adam Watson and Scott Maughan replying for Salvins.

Third division pacesetters DSRM had to be content with a share of the spoils against Gainford Cross Keys. Sam Richardson and Michael Lavelle netted for DSRM with Shane Walker and Robert Kidd responding.

Newton Aycliffe Huntsman and Cockton Hill WMC drew 1-1 in a mid table clash. Michael Sproates of Huntsman and Peter Chapman of the WMC were the marksmen.

Robert Clarey reduced the deficit for Witton Victoria who lost 4-1 at Shildon Three Tuns. Shaun Stanley (2), Mark Owen and Jamie Scaife gave Tuns the double.
