LAST WEEKEND saw five Elvet Striders veterans compete in the North East Masters Cross Country Championship in Darlington.
The men's team were ably represented by cross country captain Geoff Davis, Mike Hughes and Keith Wesson.
Jan Young romped home first in her age category and ladies' cross country captain Susan Davis crossed the line third in her age group.
Cross country continues to grow in popularity within the club among runners of all ages and abilities. Elvet Striders don't just love cross country, we have interests in all different kinds of running - track, road, trail and fell. And anything in between!
