It’s another busy weekend for racing with Flat fixtures up and down the country from Sandown Park in the south all the way up to Hamilton Park in Scotland.

I’ll be at Beverley today, where I’ve got some very promising rides beginning with Kirbec for Keith Dalgleish in the Hull Cartridge Anniversary Irish EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes.

She’s a nice filly who hasn’t been out of the frame in her last four runs and the step up in trip will certainly suit her. She should have a massive chance.

The feature race of the afternoon is the Listed totescoop6 Beverley Bullet Sprint Stakes.

Paul Midgley’s horses are flying at the moment and it’s testament to him that he’s got three in the race. I’ve been fortunate to have the pick of them and have gone for Desert Law, who’s done nothing but improve.

He has won his last two starts at York and Doncaster and we are well drawn in stall six. He should run a very big race.

The totepoolliveinfo.com Handicap over 5f has divided and in the first division I ride course and distance winner Mininggold, who sprang a surprise three starts ago when he held on well to win by a neck at 16-1 over this trip.

In the second division, I partner Apricot Sky, who hasn’t been with us long and has his first run for the (Michael Dods) yard. He’s settled in well so we will have to see how he goes.

It’s always nice to pick up a Saturday ride for Mark Johnston and I’m on Montatair in the 1m 2f totepoolliveinfo Download The App Handicap.

He won a Listed race last season and was competitive in Group company but hasn’t managed to replicate that form this year.

Proud Archi has a great chance to round the day off well for me, in the Collect totepool Winnings at Betfred Shops Handicap.

He likes the track and I won on him over this course and distance in April. He got his head in front last time out at Thirsk with Cal Rodriguez on board and should have a very strong chance.
