SALVATORE FURY bounced back to winning form on his latest outing and can keep up the good work in the BetVictor.com Handicap at Kempton.

The four-year-old has been consistent this term, finishing out of the first three just four times in 13 starts, ensuring his handicap mark has not wavered too much at all in recent times.

A winner at Carlisle back in July, Keith Dalgleish’s charge had been out of luck until tackling six furlongs at this course in October, where he won by half a length in what looked a reasonably competitive heat.

That was just his second outing on the all-weather and he really caught the eye as he travelled well throughout before showing a nice turn of foot to win with a bit in hand.

The handicapper has raised him 5lb for that victory and while that is not a small rise, the ease of his win suggests that Salvatore Fury can handle the extra burden.

Ajmal Ihsaas is an interesting contender in the BetVictor Maiden Fillies’ Stakes as she has her first run since finishing second at Ascot on her racecourse bow back in May.

There were no less than five future winners in the race that day, with David Elsworth’s Arabian Queen a notable also-ran as she went on to claim Group Two glory in the summer.

Clearly everything has not gone quite to plan with the Marco Bottitrained filly as she has been off the racecourse since that fine performance, but she can start making up for lost time here.

Buck’s Bond makes his eighth appearance at Wincanton in the Weatherbys VAT Services Silver Buck Handicap Chase.

Paul Nicholls’ runner has notched just one win in those outings and there have been a few mishaps along the way, but he looks to be getting his act together judged on his recent third.

He was not totally fluent that day and almost certainly would have preferred a bit more give in the ground as he was beaten just under two lengths by Pantxoa.

Buck’s Bond appears to be coming back into form now and even with a 1lb rise, he is still 2lb lower than the mark he won off in April 2013.

Unbeaten bumper runner Bitofapuzzle can make a winning start to her jumping career in the New Racing UK Anywhere Available Now Mares’ Maiden Hurdle.

Harry Fry’s mare benefited from a perfectly executed front-running ride from Noel Fehily when completing a hat-trick in Listed company at Cheltenham last month, adding to previous emphatic successes at Bangor and Huntingdon.
