Durham City tonight appointed Chris Moore as their new manager.
Moore, who played for Darlington in the 2011 Trophy final, has been playing for Ashington recently in the Northern League, and is a qualified coach with Northumberland FA.
Paul Wilkinson, who has been caretaker manager since Ian Chandler left, will be his assistant.
Since 2011, Moore has played for several clubs, and had a second spell at Darlington as well appearing for Spennymoor, Consett, Durham City and Whitley Bay.
His first game in charge will be against Bedlington on Saturday at Consett.
