Whitley Bay have been given a home tie in the draw for the third qualifying round of the FA Cup.

After beating Matlock and Congleton on home territory, they have now been drawn at home to Chorley from the National League North on October 10th.

Meanwhile, two Northern League clubs must survive replays on Tuesday night if they are to progress to the next round.

Newton Aycliffe make the trip down to Humberside in order to play North Ferriby after drawing 0-0 at Moore Lane on Saturday. The winners will play Nuneaton at home in the next round.

“Logistically it’s a nightmare for us,” said Dixon. “North Ferriby play midweek games away from home regularly, so it’ a second nature to them, but for us, travelling in midweek is a big deal for us. For instance, we have to make sure that the players can get time off work.”

Midfielder Stuart Banks is set to return to the squad after suspension.

Washington are hoping to complete a giantkilling when they play Marine from the EvoStik Premier in their replay at the Nissan Sports Complex.

Manager Steve Hutchinson will probably have an unchanged squad to choose from, and he said; “We’ve got a good idea about what we need to do, we’ve had a good look at them now.”

The sides drew 3-3 on Saturday, with Washington leading 3-2 at one point.

The winners will be at home to Northwich Victoria.
