Darlington RA have been drawn away to Birtley in the opening round of the new season's Ernest Armstrong Memorial Cup, which was won last season by Norton and Stockton Ancients.
The draws for the first two rounds of the competition are: First round: Birtley v Darlington RA, Team Northumbria v Willington, Ryhope CW v Esh Winning, Crook Town v Thornaby, Easington v Chester-le-Street, Brandon v Ryton and Crawcrook.
Second round: South Shields v Hebburn, Easington or Chester-le-Street v Alnwick, Billingham Town v Team Northumbria or Willington, Brandon or Ryton and Crawcook v Tow Law, Billingham Synthonia v Stokesley, Northallerton v Birtley or Darlington RA, Heaton Stannington v Whickham, Ryhope CW or Esh Winning v Crook or Thornaby.
