Shildon must replay on Wednesday night at Dean Street after they drew 1-1 at Norton United.
The Railwaymen were within sight of a first round place after they led with an early headed goal by Ben Wood, and they seemed to be in control when Norton full back Paul Taylor was dismissed for elbowing Wood before half time.
Shildon missed a string of chances to finish the game off, but then full abck Jon Brackstone turned the ball into his own goal
