West Auckland increased their lead at the top of the ENL to three points when they easily beat Morpeth 4-0 at the Seagrave Stadium tonight.

West scored three goals in eight minutes in the first half. They took the lead on 33 minutes when Dan Lowson launched a clearance on the wind, and Mattie Moffat lobbed the ball over Morpeth keeper Karl Dryden.

West went 2-0 up when Colin Larkin crossed for Robbie Briggs to fire home, and Briggs was on the spot to score from another Larkin cross on 41 minutes.

Moffat scored his second of the game on 47 minutes from a Briggs through ball.

Newton Aycliffe picked up their first point under new manager Peter Dixon in a 1-1 draw at Sunderland RCA.

Aycliffe took the lead in the opening minutes, when Stuart Banks ran 80 yards and crossed for Connor Winter to score, but RCA equalised on 9 minutes when Joe Hughes pounced on some hesitancy and beat keeper James Winter.

10 man Bishop Auckland beat Billingham Synthonia 4-2 at Heritage Park after being 2-1 down at one stage.

Bishops took the lead after 27 minutes with a header by Ben Riding from a corner, but Synners levelled with another header, this time by Bryan Stewart.

Synners took the lead on 59 minutes when Riding was shown a red card for a last man foul, and Nathan Porritt scored from the spot, but five minutes later Kieran Megran fired the equaliser from 20 yards. Kyle Davis put Bishops into the lead on 70 minutes, then Andrew Johnson celebrated his return to the club by scoring the fourth on 82 minutes.

Consett beat Guisborough 1-0 at Belle View.

Consett took the lead in the first half when Matty Slocombe opened up the Guisborough defence for Michael Mackay to score his 12th league goal of the season.

Marske went second with a 1-0 home win over Durham City After a goalless first half in the wind, Marske took the lead when Danny Brunskill set up Freddie Woodhouse to fire into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

In the second division, Norton, in second, were beaten 3-1 at fifth placed Seaham Red Star. Dean Nicholson gave Seaham a half time lead, then Sonny Andrews made it 2-0 with his 15th league goal of the season. Liam McBryde scored the third, before Gary Mitchell pulled one back from the penalty spot.

Ryhope CW beat Tow Law 3-1 to go sixth.

Ryhope took the lead after 10 minutes with a goal by Jack Pounder , then Martin Metcalfe added the second soon after. Pounder added a third at the start of the second half, before Scott Duggan pulled a goal back for Lawyers.

Billingham Town lost 3-1 at home to Washington.

Billingham Town took an early lead with a wind assisted attempt from 50 yards by Michael Dalton, but James Fairley levelled just before half time. Stephen Halliday and Mark Davison scored for Washington in the second half.
