West Auckland are looking for a new manager following the resignation tonight of Steve Skinner after five months in charge.

Skinner claims that West have been talking to other potential managers behind his back and said; “I know that they’ve spoken to two people about the manager’s job.

“The club has gone back on the agreement that we had when I took over. I’ve helped them to try and move forward off the field and brought some sponsorship in.

“Trust is a massive thing, but that’s football I suppose. I still want to be a manager in the Northern League.”

West are currently fifth from bottom of the first division, and not completely safe from relegation.
