West Auckland striker Mattie Moffat is hoping to play in a specially made face mask at Wembley tomorrow.
The club's top scorer fractured his cheekbone in four places at Ashington a fortnight ago, which appeared to rule him out of the big day.
However, he decided not to see a specialist in midweek, and has instead had a face mask especially made to protect the injury.
A final decision has still to be made on whether he'll play or not, but nevertheless he will still need permission from the referee to play.
